Our Story

Personally, I’ve never been one to be into cosmetics. But nail polishes? That’s a whole different story...

My mom used to say that I inherited it from my grandmother, Selenia. She wouldn’t leave the house with a chipped nail. Well, that’s me! So, as you can understand, making my own nail polish has always been a dream of mine and I’m happy to share it with you, and even more excited that I get to honor my ancestors in the process.

Founded in 2018 during my time in Brooklyn, Selenia Beauty is the first indie vegan, non-toxic, and cruelty-free nail care line made in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

At Selenia, we believe in a healthier nail culture that is accessible to all. With a special focus on nail wellness, slow beauty, and radical self-care we formulate, manufacture, and produce our nail polishes and treatments in small batches using artisan methods. We do this by sourcing high-quality materials with the least possible amount of harmful chemicals. Wanting to celebrate individuality, adventure and fierceness, all our colors are inspired by global culture, history, and travel.
